The following poem was written by a high school classmate who I dearly love. She has a little girl that has many health issues and I pray that she stays healthy through this mess. Shelly has quite a gift for poetry and inspirational thoughts. She has NAILED this virus and I am sharing it with you all. I hope this one post of all I have is the one most shared and appreciated. Her words of wisdom are Golden. I give you Shelly Miller, my dear sister in Christ and her words.
Virus Fear
Let’s pretend this coronavirus is the devil in disguise.
He is here to take us, so we have to be smart and wise.
We do not have to panic or run away in fear.
We must be cautious of things around us until the threat is clear.
With the closing of the schools and the businesses shutting down.
It seems we are losing more freedoms every time we turn around.
We wait for tomorrow, to see what more is taken away
But we have to stop and think
Or better yet stop and pray.
Our government is scrambling, the drs are doing what they can
but it is up to each of us to lend a helping hand.
The problem is, this devil look alike , is often hard to see
Until it has already entered your body and tries to set your spirit free
But just because your feeling sick doesn’t mean it is the end
Close your eyes, pray the devil out because with our Lord we’ll win.
