I did a little research and I have a list of the longest serving politicians in Congress, this includes the House of Representatives and Senate and there are at least 49 Representatives and Senators with over 25 years in Washington D.C.

I am 54 years old and many of these names I grew up hearing about. Why the hell are they still in office? Why the hell haven’t they been challenged? How much money have they made since they first went to Washington D.C.? Don Young, the longest serving has earned at the current rate of pay, OVER $8 MILLION dollars serving! That is a LOT of tax payer money AND everyone who serves in Congress gets $174,000, unless they are Speaker of the House and they get around $250,000 a year! PLUS their spouse is also paid a tidy sum as well (for NOT even working)!
If you really want to get angry; these people don’t pay into Social Security because their retirement plan is simple, they continue to be paid at the SAME RATE AFTER THEY LEAVE OFFICE-AND THAT IS FOR LIFE!!!!
Are you slightly ticked off yet? Well you should be as there are hundreds if not thousands of former serving Congressmen and women who are getting tax payer money and they are lobbyists for special interest groups!
You see, long-term serving congress people are on a glorified welfare system that you and I are paying on if we can’t get things under control. There seems to be more Democrats on this welfare system than Republicans and a lot of those Republicans are Republican in Name only (RINO’s). THAT is the main problem with Washington D.C., they go to serve, promising change and they fine out how much more they can make by playing along, instead of fighting against the system. (Basically vowing to fight the cesspool but when they get there they see it is a whirlpool of cash and decide it is easy money.)
Then we get Joe Biden as a Presidential candidate and he has been in Washington for over 40 years. Do you really think anything will change? You are a fool if you do!
Our Founding Fathers did NOT plan for career politicians because that is basically the same as having a monarch or a House of Lords, something they fought a Revolutionary War against. Nothing will ever change if we do not get these long-term and career politicians out of Washington D.C. President Trump has fought against this system, exposed their little games and endangered their Utopia, that is why we have the impeachment process, that is why they continue to attack him time and time again. Until we stand up and demand that we have no more career politicians, NOTHING will change for the good. It is time to say NO to career politicians.
It is the duty of every capable American citizen to serve our country and that means taking your turn to serve this country. Trump was elected because he wasn’t a career politician. YOU TOO could be elected to a local position, county or state level position and serve. Hell, run for the House or Senate. We have no choice but to get rid of the career politicians, fire them. They may have large bank accounts for campaigns but the little guys are more numerous and if the little guy is disenfranchised by the big dogs, it is time for the ankle biting little guys to take over. There are more of us than them.
No more career politicians! I for one plan to run for governor in 2022 against some big dogs. My platform is easy, cut the budgets, push term limits, push for runoff elections in close races and require certain state citizen requirements, to keep outsiders from moving in and running for office.
