Powell For Kansas Governor

I had originally planned to run for U.S. Senator against Pat Roberts but my parents ended up in a car wreck and Mom didn’t want me to run because she wanted me to stay in Kansas. So, I put away the thoughts about campaigning for Senate. Then I watched as the Governor, Laura Kelly, started sending out unconstitutional mandates because of the Chinese virus and I started getting angry. How dare she! How dare the Democrat party invade Kansas with an implant from New York! Enough is enough, THE PEOPLE need to take over, after all this is OUR COUNTRY!

My Platform is as follows:

  1. NO MORE CAREER POLITICIAN! Our Founding Fathers set our country up for the PEOPLE to serve in office, not career politicians, or they would have put term limits in the Constitution. We had to term limit the office of President, we should have term limited EVERY elected office at that time. 12 years is long enough time to serve and then go home, to stay in touch with the real world. Even the good politicians need to go home.
  2. ELECTORAL COLLEGE FOR OFFICE OF GOVERNOR & US SENTATE. Too many times the cities of Kansas that are largely Democrat, outvote the rest of the state and that does not give us a governor or senator that represents the whole state. In fact, the current governor, Laura Kelly does not care or know anything about rural Kansas because she is working on an agenda to bankrupt our state and cripple the economy to fit her party’ agenda. Senators should also represent the whole state, not just their corner of the state.
  3. BALANCED BUDGETS & MORE EFFICIENT DEPARTMENTS. The government is suppose to provide infrastructure and security. Too much wasteful spending and not efficient service is not the way to go. We need reform in all departments and common sense needs to prevail in the reform. If we need to farm out some services, then by all means, do so.
  4. NO OUTSIDE MONEY FOR CAMPAIGNS- We need to stop ALL money from outside of the State of Kansas being used for campaigns to sway the elections for agendas that are counter to the benefits of Kansans.

I may add to the platform as we find more issues of importance. This is a grassroots campaign and I need YOU, the everyday, hard working, struggling-to-get-by Kansan. It is the career politicians who milk our tax dollars out of our hands. They push agendas to please the corporations and big dogs. BUT we little dogs need to bite back. It is time for the every day person to step up and serve, it is our duty to the Constitution and to our Founding Fathers!
