It is less than 12 hours into the New Year of 2018, that I am sitting at my computer, composing this entry. I have tried to avoid checking into all the bad stuff that started the year and looking to the more positive side of life. This year is my year of MORE. I want MORE of things and that is what this post is about. Not necessarily a political post but something I would like to challenge my readers to do as well. Maybe between us all, we can get MORE out of life and make our country MORE prosperous.
At the beginning of a new year, most people will make resolutions to better themselves but I am not into that. I have chosen to not hold myself to resolutions but to attempt to better myself by doing and wanting MORE. I want to spend MORE time reading my Bible. When you start studying that best selling book, you can’t help but read more than what your devotional book has. So I want MORE of my Bible.
With reading the Bible, you find a connection to God in a higher level and begin to communicate with Him MORE. So I want to pray MORE this year than in years past. I know that this past year was a praying desert for me. I found it hard to pray, even though I knew God was right with me, my heart just wouldn’t open up. So this hear I will spend MORE time in prayer, even if it just entails telling God thank you.
Trusting anyone is difficult in these times. There is no one on earth you can truly trust to be 10000% on your side. It is impossible to trust a human, they will do something to disappoint every time, so who do we trust? That’s right, God. In this next year, I want to TRUST God MORE. That motto on the US currency states, “In God We Trust.” So this year, I want to trust God MORE, for the things in my life, for the things I need and for the things that I have to deal with, I will TRUST in God, not myself. Every time I have been in need, someone or something happens to provide. After looking back and realizing this fact, I will expect MORE from God; for protection, food, income and any other needs, I will expect God to provide MORE for me, as I trust more in Him.
So, this year, 2018 is my year for MORE. Will you choose to have a year of MORE? If you do, let me know. I would like to know if my life of MORE will help others as well.
God bless you all in this New Year of 2018!
